Aanthony Nocella Co-Edits Book.

Social science doctoral student, coordinator of the Syracuse Social Movement Initiative, and PARC graduate assistant Anthony Nocella co-edited a volume titled Terrorists or Freedom Fighters? Reflections on the Liberation of Animals. The book, published by Lantern Press, features both academic and activist perspectives on the Animal Liberation Front and offers powerful insights into this international organization and its position within the animal rights movement. Calling on sources as venerable as Thomas Aquinas and as current as the Patriot Act -- and, in some cases, personal experience -- the contributors explore the history of civil disobedience and sabotage, and examine the philosophical and cultural meanings of words like "terrorism," "democracy" and "freedom."

Nocella has authored over a dozen publications and has been active in peacemaking in Columbia with the Mennonite Central Committee. Nocella's personal website provides more details about his accomplishments.
