While global stewardship is a collective enterprise, Wangari Maathai reminds us of the power of one brave individual.
Dr. Maathai will be introduced by Bay Area philanthropic leader and Council Vice Chairman Richard Goldman, who first awarded Dr. Maathai a Goldman Environmental Prize a decade ago.
