Mark Reinhardt: A Face Only a Mother Could Love
Many moons ago, when I worked at my
Continuum, I published a book by a funny (that's funny ha ha and not funny peculiar) guy called Mark Reinhardt with the title
The Perfectly Contented Meat-Eater's Guide to Vegetarianism. The idea was that by making fun of meat-eating and vegetarianism, you could make one seem less attractive than the other. I don't think either Mark or I knew which one was which.
Anyway, the book's still around, and so is Mark, and he's been busy writing columns all these years for various vegetarian publications. Now he's collected all the columns, called "On or Off the Mark," and put them on his
blog, and I recommend you visit it. He's self-effacing, wry, and a pleasure to read—whether you're vegetarian or not.
