Some of you may be aware of Lantern's long-time relationship with Jack Dreyfus, founder of the Dreyfus Fund and Dreyfus & Co, founder of the Dreyfus Health Foundation, and for the last forty years head of the Dreyfus Charitable Foundation. Lantern Media maintains the website dedicated to information about a drug called Dilantin, while Lantern Books has published several of Jack's books, The Story of a Remarkable Medicine and Written in Frustration.

Well, Jack Dreyfus, who turned 92 last August, has just had a pacemaker installed in his body and is sitting up and planning future projects, which is pretty damned amazing, given that to undergo any kind of surgery at 92 is bound to knock the wind out of your sails. Yet, this extraordinary man, whose tenacity and wit both Gene and I admire immensely, continues to surprise us and everyone who knows him, and we at Lantern wish him all the best.
